OTP Not Received – How to Receive Your Activation Code

If you haven’t received your OTP (One-Time Password) for AstroPay account verification, follow these steps to resolve the issue and complete your account setup.

1. Verify Your Details

  • Make sure your phone number or email was entered correctly, without spaces, leading zeros, or special characters.

  • Ensure you selected the correct country for your phone number.

2. Wait and Resend

  • If you still haven’t received the code, wait at least one minute. You will be given the option to resend the OTP.

  • You can also choose WhatsApp, SMS, or email as the delivery method.

  • The OTP is automatically sent to the email registered and confirmed in your account, if you choose email delivery.

3. Troubleshoot Delivery Issues

Here are steps to help resolve most OTP delivery problems:

a. Network and Device Settings

  • Make sure your phone has a stable internet connection (Wi-Fi or mobile data).

  • If using WhatsApp, ensure it’s installed, updated, and notifications are enabled.

  • Check that your carrier or phone settings are not blocking messages from unknown or international numbers.

b. Test Alternative Methods

  • If WhatsApp doesn’t work, try SMS or email as alternatives.

  • Wait at least 60 seconds between requesting OTPs through different methods.

c. Check Email Folders

  • If using email, check your inbox, spam, and junk folders.

d. Clear App Cache (Android)

  • Clear the AstroPay app cache or uninstall and reinstall the app to ensure proper functionality.

4. Notes on WhatsApp Delivery

  • AstroPay primarily sends OTPs via WhatsApp.

  • Make sure your registered number is linked to an active WhatsApp account and notifications are enabled.

  • If WhatsApp is unavailable, alternative methods (SMS or email) can be used.
