You can close your AstroPay account from the app, or by emailing us at support@astropay.com. Closure is permanent, so plan carefully before you start.
Before you close
Withdraw your balance: Transfer all remaining funds.
Resolve pending transactions: Make sure all transactions are completed.
Download documents: Save any statements or records you may need later.
Complete identity validation: Your identity must be verified before closure can be processed.
How to close your account
Open the AstroPay app and go to Profile.
Tap Close account.
Follow the on-screen instructions to confirm the closure.
If you prefer not to use the app, you can also request account closure by emailing us at support@astropay.com.
⚠️ Important: Account closure is permanent and cannot be reversed. Your phone number cannot be used to create a new AstroPay account after closure.
Closure vs. suspension
Permanent closure: Irreversible. Your phone number cannot be used for a new account.
Suspension: Temporary and reversible. You can reactivate once.
Special scenarios
Cannot log in: Request a device change or PIN reset first, or email us at support@astropay.com to request closure.
AstroPay unavailable in your country: Follow the market shutdown process to retrieve your funds.
Unauthorized transactions: Report them before closing to ensure proper investigation.
Once confirmed, your account is closed and you will no longer be able to access it.
