You can send out your survey multiple times to get deeper insights and spot any trends or changes in how your audiences respond to your survey.

How to re-send your survey

There are a few ways to send your survey again. You can go to the Manage page and click on "Set up next wave". Only the survey owner will be able to add another wave to their existing survey.

You can also access this from the wave drop down at the top of your Results Dashboard.

Once you've clicked on " Set up next wave" you will be taken to the editor where you can make certain small changes to your survey before you decide to send it again.

Edit your survey before sending

At the moment, you're able to make the following changes to your survey content:

  • Adding a new question

  • Removing an existing question. The existing data you have will remain available in your results dashboard.

  • Adding a new answer option to an existing question

  • Removing an answer option. The existing data you have will remain available in your results dashboard.

You can also change the sample size of your audience. If you wish to make any further changes to your audience, such as edit the demographic targeting or quotas, please reach out to your Customer Success Manager or use the in platform chat.

Creating a recurring survey from scratch

If you already know that you will want to send out your survey multiple times in a year, you can choose to set a repeat frequency when purchasing your survey.

Analysing results for multi-wave surveys

Aggregate your data for a more robust sample

On the results dashboard you will have the option to look at your results for the individual waves or to aggregate them together. Aggregating the data will provide a more robust and reliable sample, as it's collected over multiple points in time.

Compare the different waves on Trends

On the Trends page you can view your results over time in chart format. By default you will see the latest three waves, but you can change this to show more or less waves.

You are able to make certain changes to the charts visualizations such as:

  • Changing the chart type. You can choose between column charts and line charts

  • Adding / removing data labels

  • Adding / removing difference (in percentage points)

  • Swapping what is displayed on your X-axis (answers or dates)

Add mean average and trend lines to your graphs

Once you have more than two waves in your tracker, you can toggle on the mean average and a trend line on single and multiple choice questions.

Analyse statistical differences in Crosstabs

You can add your waves to Crosstabs to create a table with your dates as columns. Make sure to select all waves at the top of the page first.

The arrows in the table will indicate where there are significant difference. The Significance test will set by default to use a confidence level of 95% and "Total" as comparison column. You can both by hovering over "Significance test" at the top right. For wave comparison, we often recommend to set your comparison column to "previous wave" so you can see what is changing over time. You can read more about statistical significance here.

Exporting your data & charts

Export aggregated responses

No matter if you have one or twenty surveys in your tracker, you can export all data into an Excel file by simply clicking Export, selecting the dates and/or markets you want to export and choosing to export as a single file. Note: Exporting aggregated data in a single file is currently only supported for Excel & CSV.

Export Crosstabs

You can also choose to export your crosstabs table to Excel by clicking on "Export" in the top right. This will download all your questions. If you want to copy the results of a single questions, you can click on the "copy results" icon on the top right of the question.

Download charts on Trends

You can also download the charts on the Trends page as .png images for use in presentations and for sharing more widely. Simply click on the download icon at the top right of the chart. You can also choose to copy the underlying data and paste this into a spreadsheet by clicking on the copy data icon.
