Can I create citations, references, and bibliographies in Atticus?

Updated over 2 weeks ago

Atticus doesn't provide automatic citation or bibliography generators, but you can create and format them manually.
For citations and references, Atticus supports both endnotes and footnotes, and it offers an option for creating hanging indents. Here's how to add them:

  1. Position your cursor where you want to insert the notation.

  2. In the top toolbar, locate the button for inserting a footnote or endnote.

  3. Click the button, and a pop-up will appear where you can enter the content of your note.
You can enhance your footnotes and endnotes in Atticus by applying various text formatting options like bold, italics, hyperlinks, and more.

To format your bibliography or reference list with the Hanging Indent style:

  1. Upload or create your list in Atticus, ensuring you've applied the correct text formatting and punctuation based on the relevant citation style guide.

  2. Double-check that your entries are organized alphabetically.

  3. To add the Hanging Indent format, select the entire text in Atticus, and look for the Hanging Indent button in the toolbar.
