Getting Started with August –Tenants

August is your all-in-one rental app, designed for both Landlords and Tenants. In this guide, we’ll take you through how to set up your Tenant account to get the most out of the August app.

Renting has never been so easy...


✅ Creating your account

To get started with your Tenant account, you’ll need to be invited to join the tenancy on August by your Landlord. You’ll also need a UK mobile phone number.

Once you've entered this, you can easily review and accept our Terms and Conditions before adding a few more details to get your account up and running.

📝 Tenancy

Details of your tenancy, which have been pre-populated by your Landlord, will be shown once you tap your address on the home screen.


⚒️ Maintenance Requests

You can create detailed maintenance requests which are sent directly to your Landlord in the app. Landlords can then review and mark these as resolved once sorted.

📄 Documents

Access important files like contracts or insurance certificates, shared by your landlord, right on the app’s home screen or in the Documents section.

You can also easily share documents with others in just a few taps.
