Helping the Responsible Person log in

Assisting the RP if they have trouble logging in to August Health

Written by Rudi Jones

If a Responsible Person has trouble logging in, here are some steps to ensure they receive the login link to their email.

Step 1:
Check that the email you have for the Responsible Person is spelled correctly

Step 2:
Have them check their spam/junk folder to see if the email ended up there.

Step 3:
Send them a new link by using the "send reminder" button on the Tasks tab in their chart. This will send them a new email link to complete any remaining tasks in the resident's task list:

Alternative Authentication Methods

If a Responsible Person does not have an email address, there are alternative ways to manage authentication:

  • Sign in Person: Use the "Sign in Person" option during the signing process. This allows tasks to be completed without requiring an email address.

  • Shared Email: Personal contacts cannot share the same email address.

  • Username and Password: When adding a user without an email, select the option indicating no email is available. Set a password or temporary password for them, and they can log in using their username and password.

Step 4:
Let the Responsible Person know that they can log into August Health anytime by going to app.augusthealth.com and requesting a login link themselves. They can also set up a password using the "Forgot password" button if they prefer. Once on the site, they can use the "Sign in with email link" option to view and complete pending tasks.

Best Practices for Avoiding Email Conflicts

  • Do Not Share Emails Across Contacts: Avoid using the same email address for multiple contacts to prevent errors in signer or guarantor names.

  • Use Unique Identifiers: When using shared emails, leverage email aliases to maintain distinct identities for each contact.
