If the same vital is required for multiple medication administrations, you only need to record it once. Any vital taken within a period can be shared across multiple eMAR medication administrations that require that reading.
Step 1:
Enter or record the required vital (for example, a blood pressure reading). Vitals can be recorded using any of the following methods:
Quick Vitals
"Add Vital" button in eMAR
Conditional Parameters while documenting a medication administration
Vital Orders
Intelligent Vitals in the Notes tab of the resident's chart
"Add Vital" button in the Notes tab of the resident's chart
Step 2:
Open a medication administration that requires the same vital within 15 minutes of the original reading.
Step 3:
Select the previously recorded vital when prompted instead of entering a new reading.
Step 4:
Complete the medication administration.
