Add Elements to a Custom Dashboard

Learn how to add reports, notes, montages, and Insights cards to a Custom Signals Dashboard.

Add Reports to a Custom Dashboard

There are two ways to add elements to a dashboard:

Option 1: Pin a report to a dashboard via the report’s menu

  1. You can pin any report to an existing dashboard, via the menu on that report.

  2. This will open a popup, where you can select which dashboard you’d like to pin the report to. Note that, any chart-level selections (e.g., Classifiers, Topics) will be preserved when pinning to a dashboard.

Option 2: +Add Cards menu

  1. Within any custom Signals Dashboard, click +Add Card, either in the center of the screen in a new or "empty" Dashboard, or in the top right corner.

  2. This will open a popup, where you can select which reports you would like to add to your custom dashboard. Select your desired report(s), then click Add Card(s) to Dashboard.

Group by in Signals

You can segment and analyze your Signals charts using Group By, breaking a chart into stacked bars or multiple lines based on a dimension of your choosing — so you can go from a high-level trend to a segmented view without leaving the dashboard.

Group By is available on single line, vertical bar, and horizontal bar charts across the following reports: Contact Types, Conversations Over Time, Eddy Effect by Classifier, Eddy Effect by Question Response, Eddy Effect Over Time, Model Results Count, Patient Journey Stages, Primary Themes, and Question Response Count. You can group by Core AI Models (like Eddy Effect Signal, Themes & Topics, and Sentiment), Standard Filters (like Agents, Hierarchy, Classifiers, and Media Type), or your organization's groupable metadata fields.

Here's how to add it to a report on your dashboard:

  1. Follow the steps above to add a supported report to a custom dashboard in Signals.

  2. In the three-dot menu of the report, select Report Configuration

  3. In the Group by section, choose a field to group the data by. You can select up to 50 values.

  4. Click Save! Bar charts will display as stacked bars, and line charts as multi-line.

Add Notes to Custom Dashboards

In addition to reports and insights cards, you can add free-text notes directly to your custom dashboards. Whether it's highlighting a key insight, capturing a compelling quote, or tracking action items, this capability helps bring more context and storytelling into your data views.

To add a Montage to your custom dashboard, follow these steps:

  1. Select Add Card in the top right corner.

  2. Select Montages and adjust the date range to browse and add to your dashboard, then click Add Card(s) to Dashboard.

Once added, you can rename the Montage on the dashboard to reflect the context of the dashboard. This will only change the display name on that dashboard, but will not change the montage name anywhere else in the platform.

Rename your Montage, and click Save.
