Overview
Headless Shopify enables merchants to decouple Shopify’s e-commerce engine from their store’s front end. Instead of being tightly coupled into a monolith, the Shopify engine and the front end act as two different platforms, connected via APIs.
Does ADU work with headless stores?
— NO, is not compatible with a headless store. Our app uses traditional or native Shopify backend and frontend structures.
Headless Shopify vs Traditional Shopify
Traditional Shopify tethers your front end and back end into a monolith. It’s relatively easier and faster to set up. This allows our app to work within the Shopify ecosystem via the front end.
In a headless Shopify implementation, you use the Storefront API to connect a Shopify backend with a frontend-of-choice, built using React, Next.js, etc. A headless installation package will include all core e-commerce features, excluding the front end.
