The goal of testing promotions before going live is to ensure the discounts are working as expected and to prevent customers from using them prematurely.
To perform a test, follow the steps below:
1. Go to the "Promotions" tab and click the "Automatic" subtab.
2. Click on the "TEST" button of the promotion.
3. Click on the Shopify "Sales Channels" and select the "Online Store."
4. Click on the "View icon" to launch your online store's administrator preview and begin testing the promotion.
5. You're all set and ready to test the promotion!
