To give you further peace of mind, we verify that the vehicle is registered in the seller's name. If there's no lien, we verify that the seller has the title in hand (or if not, that a replacement can be ordered legitimately and without issue). We review the vehicle's ownership and accident history to ensure that it matches our registration and inspection information.

Chat. Send messages to each other through our secure platform. We have fraud prevention measures in place, but remain diligent. Be wary if someone tries to move communication or payment off platform - a common tactic of scammers. Look for the checkmark next to their name indicating their identity has been verified.

Schedule Test Drive. Use our interface to propose a location and time for a test drive. While not required, test drives are highly encouraged!

Make or Accept an Offer. When you're ready, make an offer. Once you both agree on price, our transaction team will step in to facilitate!

Great news! You and buyer have agreed on price. Now what?

Once an offer has been accepted, the buyer has some decisions to make prior to checkout like how they intend to pay for the vehicle and if they want to pick it up in person or pay for shipping. This may happen in a few minutes or may take several days. Please be patient and communicate with the buyer and us at PSX if you have questions or concerns.

Once an offer has been accepted, start by clicking "Buy Now" from your dashboard and follow the prompts to checkout. We'll walk you through each step.

Once we receive payment, you're almost ready to hand over the keys! We'll provide a personalized checklist of items for you to do before, during, and after delivering the vehicle to the buyer.

Once you receive your checklist and complete the required items, you can hand over the keys to the buyer. Don't hand over the title, you'll send that to us. Once the buyer confirms they have possession of the vehicle, you'll get paid. If you have a lien, we'll pay off the lien and send any positive equity to you. It may take up to two business days for funds to hit your account. Almost done!

We'll email or mail paperwork along with specific instructions on how to sign the title and send it to us. We'll ensure everything looks good and is ready to be transferred into the buyer's name. It's important that you follow your checklist, complete any action items, and return any paperwork or supporting documentation on time (within 5 business days of receipt). This will minimize any hiccups in transferring ownership of your vehicle to the buyer. Once complete, you can rest easy knowing you got paid securely and the transfer was done completely and correctly. Congrats on selling your car through Autotrader PSX!

Once you checkout and payment has been received, you're all set to pick up your new ride! Before you drive off into the sunset though, you'll have a few steps to finalize the transfer. The title needs to be transferred into your name and registration complete. This can take some time. We'll provide a personalized checklist of items for you to do before, during, and after picking up the vehicle. Part of that checklist will include instructions on how to drive the vehicle legally while registration is pending.

We'll email or mail additional paperwork along with specific instructions. We're working to expand our title operations, but at this time can only title and register certain vehicles. In case you have to complete the title transfer and/or registration on your own, we'll still make sure you have a properly endorsed title free of any liens to take to the DMV. Timelines to receive the title and/or completed registration and plates vary drastically by state and unique factors such as if the seller had a lien or if the vehicle is from out of state. It's important that you follow your checklist, complete any action items, and return any paperwork or supporting documentation on time (within 5 business days of receipt). This will minimize any hiccups along the way and allow you to enjoy your new set of wheels that much more.
