What the AHTR Smart-fill Feature Does
It lets practitioners reuse information from the most recent AHTR submission for a claimant instead of starting from scratch — reducing repetitive data entry and makes the submission process quicker.
How it works:
From the second AHTR onwards, a "Duplicate AHTR" option appears in the top-right corner of your AHTR form submission page.
Clicking it pulls in information from the most recently submitted AHTR form.
It's not available for a claimant's first-ever AHTR (there's nothing to duplicate yet).
Key Details to Know
Nothing happens automatically
The form stays blank until you click "Duplicate AHTR" — there's no auto-fill on open.
Only finalised AHTRs count
Duplication only pulls from AHTRs that were actually submitted. Drafts, incomplete forms, or abandoned ones will not be populated into the form.
What gets copied vs. what doesn't
✅ Copied: relevant clinical and treatment information
❌ Not copied: dates and signatures — these must be entered fresh every time
One use per form
Once you've clicked the "Duplicate AHTR" button on a form, it becomes disabled for that submission. You'll also see a reminder to double-check everything before submitting, to make sure it's accurate and current.
Who can use it
✅ Practitioners
🚫 Business Owners (not visible to this user type)
The feature is available only through a personal practitioner account and is not accessible from Business accounts, to ensure only the treating practitioner can use the duplicated information.
Important notes
If a claimant is transferred to a new practitioner, the existing treatment plan can be duplicated if the visit is a subsequent session under the same treatment plan.
If it's the claimant's first appointment with the new practitioner and they create a new treatment plan, the existing plan should not be duplicated.
