Any question that is not part of your SIE (import) mapping and is a non-active qualification question (is not in use on scholarships) can be deactivated on the general application.
If the question you need deactivated is part of your SIE (import) mapping, contact our Support team.
If the question you need deactivated is an active qualification question on scholarships in your current cycle, you will need to remove it from the scholarships before you can deactivate it.
To get a list of scholarships where the question is active, run the Scholarships with Qualifications and Additional Requirements report: go to Reports > Build Report > Static Reports.
After downloading the report, filter the second-to-last column and search for the question you need deactivated. The scholarships left on the report are the ones you need to edit in the Qualifications tab. Specifically, remove the qualification question. Then you'll be set to follow the next steps listed below.
Deactivating a question
Head to the Application tab (in Admin view), locate the question you'd like to deactivate and expand it, then select Deactivate.
Note: If your application period is open or has recently closed, you will be asked to confirm your action, which will result in lost answers from students who answered the question.
Re-activating a question
Head to the Application tab (in Admin view), select the Inactive Questions section, locate the question you need reactivated and expand it. Click Reactivate Question and then select a section to place this question in.
Note: If your application period is open or closed this will cause submitted applications to become incomplete again. However, only if your application period is open will your students be able to log in and answer the new question on their application.
