The Task Board is where your team's follow-ups live: call this donor back, review an impact report, send the acknowledgement letter. Tasks can stand alone or be anchored to a specific donor, so the work shows up both on the board and on the record it concerns.
Open it from Tasks in the left navigation.
The four views
My Tasks is what you own. This is the one to work from day to day.
All Tasks is everything across the team, useful when you are covering for someone or want to see where things stand.
Scholarship Tasks covers work tied to the scholarship side rather than donor management.
Overdue is everything past its due date. The count on this tab is a measure of what's overdue.
Each tab carries a count, so you can see the size of the pile before opening it.

Anchoring a task to a donor
Related Record is what connects a task to a donor. Choose a Related Type first, then pick the record.
This is optional, but it is what makes the Task Board useful for donor management. A task anchored to a donor appears on that donor's record as well as on the board, so whoever opens the donor next sees the outstanding work without going looking for it.
Visibility
All Admins means anyone can see the task. Selected Admins limits it to the people you choose.
Leave it on All Admins unless there is a reason not to. Tasks nobody can see are tasks nobody can pick up.
Finding tasks
Search matches on task content.
Filters narrows the list by Status, Type, Award Cycle, Priority, Owner or Visibility.
Columns changes what the table shows. Tick fields on the left, drag them into order on the right, then Apply. Reset returns to the default set.
There is also a view toggle beside Filters that switches between the table and a card layout.
Tasks on a donor record
Open a donor and go to the Activity tab. Tasks anchored to that donor appear in a TASKS section at the top, above the dated timeline, with the status, owner and due date visible.
Keeping them at the top is deliberate. Outstanding work is the thing you need to see before you contact someone, not something to scroll for.
Use the Tasks filter chip on the Activity tab to see only tasks.
Editing a task from the donor record
Click a task to open it in a side panel, where you can change the Title, Status, Priority and Due Date, then Save. The panel also shows who it is assigned to.
For anything the panel does not cover, Open in Task Board takes you to the full task.
This is the quickest way to close out a task while you are already looking at the donor, for example marking a call done straight after you have logged it.
Tasks and activities
They are related but not the same. A task is something still to be done, with an owner and a due date. An activity is a record of something that happened, such as a call you made or a gift you received.
The usual pattern is that a task becomes an activity: the task says call this donor, and once you have, you log the call as an activity and close the task.
