Staff members can keep track of Jobs and Deliverables they're not otherwise connected to by following them. With AWEbase, you can
follow projects as you see fit (as detailed here), and
have staff members follow projects you feel are important to them, as detailed below.
When a staff member follows a Job or Deliverables, they receive a notification when someone adds a comment, file, or review asset to it. (Learn about changing your notification settings.)
To add followers to a Job or Deliverable:
Go to the Deliverables or Jobs screen and click on the Deliverable or Job to which you wish to add followers.
Click the drop-down button next to the bell-shaped "Follow" icon to reveal all the current followers.
Select a staff member from the "Add Follower" drop-down to add that member as a follower.
This will increase the number of followers, and add that person's name to the list of followers.
Notes:
To remove a staff member as a follower, click the "x" next to that person's name on the follower list.
When you add followers to a Job, you have the option of adding them as a follower to all Deliverables associated with that Job.
Likewise, when you remove followers from a Job, you have the option of removing them from all its Deliverables as well.
You may add and remove yourself as a follower the same as any other staff member.
To add followers from multiple Jobs or Deliverables at once:
Go to the Jobs or Deliverables screen.
Check the boxes next to the Jobs or Deliverables to which you wish to add followers.
Choose "Add Followers" from the "Action" drop-down menu to open the "Add Followers" pop-up.
Choose any number of staff members from the "Select Staff" drop-down menu. Click on each one to add them as a follower.
If you are adding followers to a Job, and want those staff members to also follow all the Deliverables associated with that job, check the box labeled "Follow associated deliverables."
Click "Submit" to add the followers and close the pop-up.
