Component Summary

Updated over 3 years ago

After opening any Component Record, you'll first arrive at the Component Summary tab. This is where your highest-level attributes live - whether hardwired Taxonomy Fields like Season and Year, or Component Custom Fields you set up in your Admin panel.

  • Component Code and Name are at the top of the Summary

  • Taxonomy-level data appears just below

  • Assigned Colorways are listed next, with visual swatches if available

  • Below that is summary details

    • In this section are the Custom Fields that are mapped to the bottom of the edit page

    • Note that if you have no value assigned to a particular Field, it will not display on the Summary, so your completed data isn’t lost among blank Fields

  • Component Images display at the top of the Summary

    • Your Default Image appears first

    • Use the arrows to page through your other component Images

  • The Pencil Icon at top right allows opens the Edit Overlay for the Component Summary

    • In the Edit Overlay, all your Component Taxonomy and Custom Fields appear for you to make updates

    • Assign Colorways by querying your Color Libraries

    • Save your changes by clicking the button at bottom right

  • Adding Components to a Product is done through the Product's Bill of Materials. Read more here.

  • Lastly, you can find the component utilization report that tells you which products this component is being used on

    • You can change the report to filter by year or season using the drop-downs to the top right of this section
