Adding your Backpack account as a payment method on Amazon allows you to shop with ease and manage your expenses directly from your Backpack account. Follow these detailed steps to set up your Backpack account on Amazon.
There are two ways to add Backpack as a payment method, (1) Before you start checkout through 'Your Account' or (2) During checkout when you are making a purchase.
Option 1: Before you checkout through 'Your Account'
Log in to your Amazon account
Go to 'Your Account' and select 'Your Payments'
Add a payment method by selecting 'Add a payment method'.
Enter your Backpack account number and routing number and a state ID for verification
Verify Your Bank Account
Amazon may require verification of your bank account. If so, follow these steps:
Amazon will make two small deposits into your Backpack account within a few business days.
Check your Backpack account for these deposits.
Return to the 'Payment options' page on Amazon.
Click on 'Verify your bank account' and enter the amounts of the two deposits.
Option 2: During checkout
When you reach the Checkout Page, under 'Payment Method' click 'Change'
At the bottom of the section, you're going to select 'Add a personal checking account'
Enter your Backpack account number and routing number and a state ID for verification
Click "Add this checking account"
Verify Your Bank Account
Amazon may require verification of your bank account. If so, follow these steps:
Amazon will make two small deposits into your Backpack account within a few business days.
Check your Backpack account for these deposits.
Return to the 'Payment options' page on Amazon.
Click on 'Verify your bank account' and enter the amounts of the two deposits.
