Medical ID accessories are a good way to communicate vital information to first responders in an emergency. But that important information can change over time, and it might not all fit on a medical ID bracelet or necklace. 

We teamed up with StickyJ Medical ID to make sure your medical jewelry provides online access to all of your most important, most up-to-date health information. By buying an eligible medical ID accessory from StickyJ and registering your accessory with Backpack Health, you can give first responders and other health professionals a direct link to the information included on your Emergency Share Card. That means you can update the information anytime if things change, and anyone with access can translate it into six languages.

When you buy an eligible accessory from StickyJ and request a Backpack PHR, you’ll have a link engraved on your accessory that will go directly to your Emergency Share Card, once you register it (see below). 

To buy an eligible medical ID accessory:

1. Select Share Cards from the Main Menu.
2. Open the Emergency Share Card.
3. Select Register or Buy Medical ID. 

4. Select Buy New – that will take you to instructions for choosing a Backpack Eligible accessory. 

Note: Make sure to check off the box for a Free online PHR alert for EMS when you’re filling in the details – this is how StickyJ will know to include the link to register the ID on your accessory and in your confirmation email. 

Tip: If you don't receive a confirmation email right away, check your spam.

StickyJ will include the ForMyLife/ URL that will be engraved on your accessory in your confirmation email, along with your order number. You'll need your URL and order number to register your Emergency Share Card. 

First, if you care for someone else, make sure you're in the right Backpack – you’ll want to link the medical ID to your own information if it’s for you, or your loved one’s medical ID to theirs if it’s for them.

1. Select Share Cards from the Main Menu.
2.Open the Emergency Share Card.
3. Select Register or Buy Medical ID.
4, Select Register Existing. 

5. Enter the ForMy.Life/ URL you received from StickyJ in your confirmation email.
6. Enter the order number in your confirmation email from StickyJ – this should be the numbers-only part. 

7. Select the checkmark button on the top right – you should now see your ForMy.Life/ URL in the Medical IDs section of  the Emergency Share Card.

Tip: You can also add your ForMy.Life/ URL to your lock screen using your phone’s emergency features. 

You can link as many accessories as you want to you and your loved ones’ Emergency Share Cards. StickyJ will provide a unique link for each of the items you purchase in your confirmation email(s).

To buy/register another medical ID: 

1. Select Share Cards from the Main Menu.
2. Open the Emergency Share Card.
3. Select Edit on the bottom of the card. 

4. Select Register or Buy in the Medical IDs section. 

5. Go through the steps to buy or register an ID outlined above. 

If for any reason you don't want the link on your medical ID to provide access to your Emergency Share Card anymore, you can remove it from the card in the app. 

1. Select Share Cards from the Main Menu.
2. Open the Emergency Share Card.
3. Select Edit on the bottom of the card. 

4. Select next to the medical ID you’d like to remove.
