Hey there! πŸ‘‹

Are you looking for information about how to figure out if our ebike motor kits will work with your Trike? If so, you are in the right place and we are going to provide you with some important information to consider related to electrifying your bike type! πŸŽ‰

Somethings to note specifically about ebike conversions on Trike's:

Our kits are designed to work on standard bikes and while trikes are in fact still bikes, they are about as far from a standard bike as it gets! With this in mind, our motor kits often work on a vast majority of recumbent trikes, however the installation will require more time, preparation, and creativity in order to complete. In order to hopefully help you identify some of these pitfalls for trike installations we have outlined a few things to be mindful of below:

  • Trikes can also be a bit more difficult to install a battery on depending on the design and water bottle mount bolt hole locations.

  • Depending on the steering design, especially if it is a recumbent trike, mounting the items which are designed to be mounted on a standard bike can be difficult to mount on a recumbent trike and require creativity (this includes the display, throttle & brake levers)

  • Installation on a trike is more of a custom setup, so we would recommend checking in with some local bike shops to see if they could help perform the installation. Our Mid Drive installation video and resources are for installation on standard bikes however there are other videos and references available online which you can use to help with installation on a trike.
