Learn how to import designs created outside of Banani

Updated this week

There are several ways to bring designs created outside of Banani into your workflow -- so you can iterate with AI, explore variations, or generate new states faster.

1. Image import

You can upload any image or screenshot of a product and ask Banani to recreate or remix it.

How it works

  1. Click "Attach" and choose "Reference Image"

  2. Upload up to 10 images at once

Each image gets a number (visible on hover), which you can reference directly in your prompt.

For example, "Replicate the style from image 1, use the layout from image 2, and adapt the content from image 3."

This makes it easy to mix and match styles, layouts, and ideas across multiple references.

Pro tip: You can copy an image outside of Banani and paste it directly using ⌘ + V or Ctrl + V.

2. Figma import

You can also attach Figma frames directly, just like sending a message.

Banani reads the frame contents and recreates the screen so you can continue iterating with AI.

Just like with images, you can combine multiple Figma frames as references and remix them together.
