Figma rate limit error
This is a Figma-side limitation, not a Banani issue. Figma severely rate-limits API access for free accounts, and there's no quick workaround since the API is the only way to access Figma data.
If you hit this error, you can either wait it out or upgrade your Figma account. Figma's limits are based on your seat type, the endpoint tier, and your account plan -- simply reading a file counts as a "Tier 1" request. You can read more in Figma's rate limits documentation.
We're actively looking for ways to reduce rate limit exposure on our end.
Other errors
If you're seeing a different error, check the following:
Link type: make sure you copied a link to a screen (frame), not another node type like a component or group.
Token permissions: make sure your Figma personal access token has all the necessary permissions to read files.
Use image references instead
If Figma import isn't working, you can paste a screenshot of your design directly into Banani as a visual reference.
To copy a frame as an image from Figma, select it and press Cmd+Shift+C (Mac) or Ctrl+Shift+C (Windows). This copies the frame as a PNG to your clipboard, ready to paste.
