How do I print or send a patient statement in Barti?

Go to Billing → Reports, run the Patient Aging Report filtered to Patient Only, find the patient, select their pending claims, and click Print Invoice.

Steps

  1. In Barti, go to Billing → Reports.

  2. Select Patient Aging Report as the report type.

  3. Choose Patient Only as the filter.

  4. Click the patient's name to open their record.

  1. Select the invoices in pending status.

  2. Click Print Invoice.


What you'll see when it works

A new window will open where you can click Print Order. Then you'll confirm your printer settings to complete the job.


Troubleshooting

I can't find the patient in the Patient Aging Report.

Confirm the Patient Only filter is selected. If the patient still doesn't appear, they may have no outstanding balance. You can also search for the patient in the universal search bar at the top.

I want to send the statement electronically instead of printing it.

Currently, outstanding invoices cannot be sent to the patient. However, the patient portal can be enabled on their profile and that will give the patient access to see outstanding invoices, prescriptions, and upcoming appointments. Keep in mind, at this time, they cannot submit payment for outstanding invoices in the portal, they can simply view the outstanding invoices.
