Why do I see kSAT under Bitcoin?
On Base8, we use kSATs (kiloSatoshis) as the denomination for Bitcoin. One kSAT is equivalent to 1,000 satoshis or SATs. Displaying Bitcoin in KSATs makes it easier for users to understand and manage smaller, more precise amounts of Bitcoin, especially when dealing with transactions and investments that are less than a full Bitcoin - which would normally be displayed as small decimals of BTC.
Using kSATs also aligns with our mission to make Bitcoin more accessible and user-friendly, allowing for better granularity and simpler calculations when buying, selling, or trading smaller portions of Bitcoin.
How can I stack SATs with Base8?
