Baton proudly provides some of the most flexible, customizable, and targeted ways to bid for leads in the industry.

Assigning Your Bids

Baton lets you determine what and how you want to bid for leads by targeting specific service needs or areas. For example, you might provide service in the Atlanta metro for ants, termites, and wildlife removal, but your coverage area for each service might be different. As well, you might be willing to pay more for a Termite lead than a Wildlife lead, and more for a commercial lead than a residential one. Therefore, you might create multiple service areas that look like this:

  • Atlanta (residential) - General pest control: 100 zips, $50 Per Referral

  • Atlanta (commercial) - General pest control: 200 zips, $75 Per Referral

  • Atlanta (residential) - Termites: 200 zips, $60 Per Referral

  • Atlanta (commercial) - Termites: 300 zips: $100 Per Referral

  • Atlanta (residential & commercial) - Wildlife Removal: 150 zips, $30 Per Referral

Not all companies care to get this targeted. But for those that do, in areas with a heavy amount of referrals, optimizing in this way can ensure you are maximally competitive for the leads you really want.

Here is an example from Canady's Termite and Pest Control, targeting different needs across various areas using with unique bid.

To do this, first ensure that your default coverage settings are up to date as this will save you time later - you may do so by updating your services in the My Company > Services tab. Then, go to My Company > Service Area. For each lead group you want to target, create a new Service Area that matches the settings for those leads. Currently we allow for unlimited Service Areas, which means you can get infinitely customized with your bids. One Baton partner has more than 900+ Service Areas!
