Instance management allows you to manage all instances that are based on a specific template. It provides a central overview of all courses and lets you add, enable, disable, or remove instances in bulk. You can access it by opening a template and switching to the instance management tab.
Each course is listed with its category, course name, and the number of existing instances. Actions are available per course and for multiple selected courses.
Course-level actions
For each course, the following actions are available:
Gear icon – Opens the instances overview for the selected course.
Plus icon – Adds a new instance of the template to the selected course.
Status toggle – Enables or disables all instances associated with the course.
Calendar icon – Opens the instances overview for the selected course.
Bin icon – Deletes all instances associated with the course. Confirmation is required.
Bulk actions
When one or more courses are selected, additional actions are available:
Delete instances – Deletes all instances in the selected courses. Confirmation is required.
Add instances – Creates a new instance for each selected course.
Disable instances – Disables all instances in the selected courses.
Enable instances – Enables all instances in the selected courses.
Note: When an instance is added through instance management, it inherits all settings from the template. The instance reference is automatically set to the name of the course it is created for.
