The appearance settings of the Pulse activity explained

Updated over 3 months ago

Appearance

The appearance of the Pulse activity can be edited by adding a CSS class or by using preconfigured options.

CSS class

Adding an individual CSS class is an advanced feature and should only be used by users with the necessary proficiency.

Display mode

The Pulse activity can be displayed in the Moodle course in either default mode or box mode.

  • Normal: Only the content added in the general content area will be displayed.

  • Box: Content added in the general content area will be wrapped into a bootstrap alert. Selecting this option will open the ‘Box type’ and ‘Box icon’ settings.

Box type

This option allows you to choose from the following box types: primary, secondary, danger, warning, light, dark, and success. Each option will adjust the font and background colors of the Pulse activity in the Moodle course, based on the Bootstrap framework used in your Moodle installation. If you are unsure about the color scheme of your Moodle installation, feel free to test the different options and review the results in the course.

Box icon

The box icon is displayed next to the general content in the Moodle course and can be selected from a list of various options.
