About file structure
When downloading Content Designer Pro from your bdecent account, the ZIP file contains both Content Designer Pro and the availability plugin and must be unpacked before installation.
This guide describes installation using the Moodle plugin installer. You can also install plugins manually by uploading them to your server. Content Designer Basic is also available through the Moodle plugins directory.

Install Content Designer Basic
Download the installation package from your bdecent account or the Moodle plugins repository.
Go to Site administration > Plugins > Install plugins in Moodle.
Upload the
content_designer_basic
ZIP file and complete the installation process.
Install Content Designer Pro
Download the installation package from your bdecent account.
Unpack the downloaded ZIP file and locate the
mod_contentdesigner_pro
ZIP file.Go to Site administration > Plugins > Install plugins in Moodle.
Upload the
mod_contentdesigner_pro
ZIP file and complete the installation process.
Optional installation of availability plugin:
Locate the
availability_contentdesigner
ZIP file from the unpacked installation packageGo to Site administration > Plugins > Install plugins in Moodle.
Upload the
availability_contentdesigner
ZIP file and complete the installation process.
After installation
Check Site administration > Plugins > Plugins > Plugins overview to verify that all plugins are installed correctly.
Review the global settings to configure default behavior for your site.
Compatibility
The Content Designer plugin is officially compatible with Moodle versions 4.1, 4.2, 4.3, 4.4, and 4.5. While other versions may work perfectly, they have not been tested.
