Hi Everyone πŸ‘‹πŸΌ

We have officially started the roll out of Beneplan's new client platform as of July 1, 2020. So far, we've received great feedback from clients on how the new platform allows them to manage and make changes to their benefits plan. In addition, we've received lots of different ways we can continue to improve it.

We encourage all members and plan sponsors to continue with this flow of feedback by sharing it to your advisor or client services representative at service@beneplan.ca. We relay all information to the product and development team for review.

If you require additional training, we are hosting training sessions every Thursday - members can register for free here.

Without further ado, here are the list of updates we made to the system:

January 2021

  • Updated the user-generated Forgot Password function

  • Added two-factor authentication ("2fa")

  • Allow the global search to also search documents that have been 'assigned' to employees (for example, forms that are unique to that plan member, not generic forms) - global search also can look for the first name, last name or certificate number of a plan member

  • Introduced field search in the plan member's profile

  • Introduced a filter to hide terminated employees

  • Improved user experience for accessibility (darker fonts, thicker scroll bars)

November 2020

  • Improved billing speed and performance - reduced from a few hours to a few minutes

  • Increased awareness of cost centres on CSV invoices

  • Corrected future-dated student termination dates

  • Added a note on workflows that require admin review and approval that each change submitted is pending until review

  • Increased speed of usage on the platform (responsiveness)

  • Addressed the rounding of three decimal points on billings and the discrepancy between the bill and pre-authorized chequing (PAC)

  • Adjusted headers onto every page of the invoices

  • Improved the view of borders on the invoices to improve accessibility views

  • Strengthened security profiles for plan administrators

  • Updated termination workflows to include reason for termination and option for no extension of benefits.

  • *New Feature* - ability for advisors to preview client invoices (advisor accounts only)
