Viewing Recurring Expenses in BetterTracker | Subscription Expense Tracking

Track recurring expenses, subscriptions, and billing history in BetterTracker. Use filters to refine results and view subscription details.

This article explains how to analyze your recurring subscriptions and related details.

  1. On the Manage Expenses dashboard, click the Recurring Expenses tab.

  2. You will see:

    • Total recurring expenses for the year.

    • Monthly recurring expense totals.

  3. Use filters to refine results by:

    • Account (Plaid-linked accounts)

    • Category (recognized expense categories)

    • Product (associated stack product)

    • Vendor

    • Visibility (ignored vs. non-ignored expenses)

  4. Transactions appear in rows showing:

    • Last Billed Date

    • Description

    • Expense Category

    • Related Stack Product

    • Billing Frequency

    • Amount

  5. On the far right, click the Blue Arrow to view Subscription Details:

    • See full billing history.

    • Add notes.

    • View associated contracts.

    • Access vendor site for cancellation via the “Cancel Subscription” link.

Tip: Ignoring an expense hides it from analytics but does not delete it.
