New Product-Catalogue widget and time restricted payment options.

Catalogue widget

We have created a new widget type, which allows you to display your rental items on your website in a grid layout.

In essence it's comparable to the search-widget with the view set to "cards", but it comes without the search bar.

With it you no longer have to put many different rtr-article-booking widgets on your website and can instead combine it all into one Catalogue.

Just like with the search widget you can pre-filter the items to display via their tag / category.

So you could for example give it the attribute

show-only-tags="porsche"

and only items with this tag will appear.

The design of the catalogue widget is also very adjustable.

You can find all the configuration and customization here:

Time conditional payment methods and splits:

You can now configure that certain payment methods and payment splits should only appear if the time between payment and booking start exceeds a certain threshold.

And you can also define whether the payment method / split appear in the online booking checkout, on the order page, or both.

So you could for example say, that the payment method "SEPA" should only

appear on the order page (which the customer sees after booking) and only if there is more than 7 days until the booking start.

You can now also say that if it's more than 7 days until booking start, then the customer is allowed to make a payment of 25% of the rental sum, but if it's less than 7 days until booking start, then he has to pay the entire amount directly.

Such a setup could be used in B2C cases if you want to keep the booking barrier low, by allowing customers to just make a down payment, when booking far into the future, but still want to ensure that everything is paid immediately for spontaneous bookings.

For B2B cases you could now say that a customer can create a booking with the payment method "reserve" (so with no online payment) and then pay 25% of the rental sum until 14 days before the booking start, 50% until 7 days before the booking start and then the entire amount if it's less than 7 days.

You can find all those settings in the:

We did this in preparation for our big upcoming feature "Offer creation and handling", which will greatly improve how you can create offers and have your customers confirm them, handle payments, etc.
