The backbone of our app. Goals are critical to your success!

🎯 Goals Dashboard

The Goals Tab is your central hub for managing all your wellness goals. Here you can view your current goals, track progress, and manage your goal settings.

Add Goal

Access: Tap the teal plus button (+) in the upper right-hand corner of the Goals tab.

Process:

  1. You'll be presented with a curated list of goal templates to consider

  2. Once you tap on a goal type, you'll be guided through setting it up correctly

  3. Choose your logging method, set targets, and customize as needed

  4. Tap "Create Goal" to add it to your dashboard

Goal Types Available:

  • Steps - Track daily step count

  • Sleep - Monitor sleep quality and duration

  • Fitness - Log workout sessions

  • Social - Stay connected with friends and family

  • Meditation - Track mindfulness practice

  • Reading - Monitor reading time

  • Learning - Track educational activities

  • Spiritual Practice - Monitor spiritual activities

  • Custom Goals - Create personalized wellness targets

✏️ Edit Existing Goal

Step-by-Step Process:

  1. Access Goal Details: From your Goals dashboard, tap on the icon of the goal you want to change

  2. Open Settings: On the goal details screen, locate the gear icon (βš™οΈ) in the upper right-hand corner

  3. Edit Goal: Tap on the gear to open your goal settings and make your necessary changes

  4. Save Changes: Click on "Save changes" to apply your modifications

  5. Return: You'll be returned to the details screen of your goal with your changes applied

πŸ—‘οΈ Delete a Goal

Step-by-Step Process:

  1. Select the Goal: Choose the goal you want to delete from your Goals dashboard

  2. Access Settings: In the upper right corner of the goal details screen, tap the gear icon (βš™οΈ)

  3. Delete Option: Once you see the settings screen, tap on "Delete goal"

  4. Confirm Deletion: To complete the goal deletion, click the "Confirm and Delete" button

Note: Goals created from challenges cannot be deleted while the challenge is active.

Reorder Goals

  • Long-press any goal card to enter reordering mode

  • Drag and drop to rearrange your goals by priority

  • Tap "Done" to save your new order

Quick Log Progress

  • Many goals feature a "Quick Log" button for fast progress updates

Progress Tracking

  • Real-time progress rings show your daily/weekly progress

  • Last updated timestamps help you stay on top of your goals

  • Visual indicators for goals created from challenges

Your BetterYou app is organized into 4 main tabs:

  1. Goals Tab - Your wellness dashboard and goal management

  4. Account Tab - Profile, settings, and support

Progress & Rewards

Habit Score

  • Habit Score Card in the Rewards tab shows your weekly wellness performance

  • Weekly updates every Sunday with your progress score

  • Visual gear indicator that changes color based on your performance level

  • Score ranges: Improving (300-600), Fair (600-650), Good (650-700), Great (700-750), Fantastic (750-850)

BetterBolts Rewards

  • Earn bolts through consistent goal completion and app engagement

  • Weekly summaries show your bolts breakdown (habit, engagement, wellness bonus)

  • Redeem bolts for gift cards (minimum $1 = 1000 bolts)

  • Progress tracking for your rewards journey
