SSO: Signing in with Google or Microsoft

How your team signs in to Beyond Chat with single sign-on via Google Workspace or Microsoft Entra ID.

Written by Thore Dücker

With Single Sign-On (SSO), your team signs in to Beyond Chat without a separate password. Google Workspace and Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD) are supported.

Signing in with Google

If your company uses Google Workspace, no setup is needed:

  1. On the Beyond Chat login page, click Continue with Google

  2. Confirm the requested permissions (access to your name, profile picture and email address)

Signing in with Microsoft

One-time setup by your Microsoft admin: Before users can sign in with Microsoft, a tenant administrator must approve the application in Azure:

  1. Sign in to the Azure portal with your administrator account

  2. Go to Enterprise applicationsConsent and permissions

  3. Select Allow user consent for apps from verified publishers for selected permissions

Signing in as a user:

  1. On the Beyond Chat login page, click Continue with Microsoft

  2. Confirm the requested permissions (access to your name, profile picture and email address)

Verifying your domain (optional, recommended)

With a verified domain, new users signing in via SSO with your company email address are automatically assigned to your company:

  1. Sign in with an admin account

  2. Go to Company SettingsDomain Settings

  3. Enter your email domain and click Add

  4. Add the displayed verification code as a TXT record in your domain's DNS

  5. Wait for the DNS change to propagate, then click Approve

Important: SSO still works without domain verification. However, new users are then not assigned automatically and must be invited manually by an admin.
