How to post a listing for a bike

Learn how to accurately add your bike's brand, model, and specifications in just 4 simple steps to create a detailed listing on Bikeflip.

Overview

Selling a bike on Bikeflip is straightforward and transparent. By providing detailed, honest information and high-quality photos, you increase the likelihood of attracting serious buyers and building trust. The process is divided into four main steps:

  1. Bike Selection

  2. General Info

  3. Contact

  4. Preview & Publish

Start from the Homepage

  1. Log in to your Bikeflip account.

  2. Click the Sell button in the top-right corner of the homepage.

  3. Select Bicycle as the category for your listing.


1. Bike selection

In this section you will enter the Brand and Model of your bike.

Brand Field

Begin typing the manufacturer name (e.g., Specialized, Trek).

  • A dropdown menu will suggest options from Bikeflip’s database. Choose the correct brand to ensure your listing is properly indexed.

Model Field

Enter the model name in the corresponding field. For additional precision, use filters for year and wheel size if available.

  • If your model is found, select Continue with the specs.

Review and Customize

  • A detailed specifications window will appear. Review all details in the "More Details" section to confirm accuracy.

  • If your bike has custom components or upgrades, simply update the relevant fields. This ensures potential buyers see the exact configuration of your bike.

Finalize This Step

  • Once you’ve confirmed that all specifications match your bike, click Yes, that is my bike! to proceed.


2. General Info

In this section, you will provide key details about your bike.

Condition

  • Select whether the bike is: New, Almost New, Used

Size

  • Choose the correct size from the dropdown menu to ensure accurate listing information.

Images

  • Upload up to 10 clear, high-quality photos.

  • For the main image, provide a well-lit side profile (drivetrain side) against a clean background.

  • Include close-ups of gears, brakes, and any scratches or signs of wear for full transparency.

Description

  • Write an honest and detailed description. Mention key features, upgrades, general wear, notable damage, and the bike’s history.

  • A thorough, transparent description builds trust and reduces potential misunderstandings.

Price

  • Enter your asking price.

  • If you're open to offers, select the "Negotiable Price" option.

Continue

  • Once satisfied with the information and images, click Continue to proceed to the next step.


3. Contact

Contact details

  • Provide the requested contact information, such as your email and phone number. Rest assured that these details remain private on Bikeflip.

  • Enter your location (country, city). This information will help others understand where the bike is located.

Privacy Policy

  • Read and agree to the Privacy Policy before moving forward.

Continue

  • Click Continue after completing all fields to advance to the final step.


4. Preview

Review Your Listing

  • Take a moment to ensure all details are correct. The preview displays your main photo, title, and price.

  • Expand “Specifications” to confirm each component’s accuracy.

Additional details (Optional):

  • Check any applicable boxes such as First Owner” “Warranty or Receipt Available.” These indicators can improve buyer confidence and add value to your listing.

Finalize Your Ad

  • If everything looks good, click Publish Ad to make your listing live on Bikeflip.

  • Not ready yet? Choose Save as a Draft to edit or update the listing later.


Congratulations! Your bike ad is now live and ready for potential buyers to view. Be prepared to answer questions promptly and provide additional information if requested.
