What is the AI Review Assistant in Billy?
The AI Review Assistant is a feature inside Billy, the COI tracking and construction compliance platform, that reviews compliance documents such as certificates of insurance and answers a set of review questions automatically.
Each question receives a clear pass or fail result, along with citations that point to the exact place in the document where the answer was found. This helps your team review vendor documents faster and with more confidence.
AI Review Assistant now works at the company level
Previously, the AI Review Assistant ran only for documents tracked at the project level. Now, Billy also supports the AI Review Assistant for company level tracking, sometimes called directory level or global tracking.
This means that when a vendor document is tracked across your entire company rather than on a single project, the AI Review Assistant tab will show AI questions and results for that document too.
How it works
Billy detects your tracking context automatically. When you open a document review, Billy recognizes whether the document is being tracked at the project level or the company level. No setup is needed on your end.
A tailored question set runs for company level documents. Documents reviewed in the company level context are checked against a question set designed specifically for directory level tracking, so the results are relevant to how you manage compliance across your whole vendor directory.
Results appear in the AI Review Assistant tab. You will see the same familiar layout used for project level reviews: the list of AI questions, a pass or fail result for each one, and citations when they are available.
Your results are saved
AI Review Assistant results for company level documents are stored with the document review itself. That means the questions and results remain visible when you refresh the page, return to the review later, or when another teammate opens the same document. Everyone on your team sees the same AI results for the same review.
Where to find it
Open any document review from your company level directory in Billy and select the AI Review Assistant tab. If a document exists for the review, the AI questions and results will be displayed there, just as they are for project level reviews.
