How to download your transaction history or tax report

This article provides the steps to download your transaction history

Note: Your tax report will be available after the year/quarter ends. The report may take up to 24 hours to generate and you can generate a maximum of 6 reports per month.

Follow these steps to download a transaction history or tax report, which includes your full transaction history, including all trades (buy/sell, spot trading, and OTC), deposits and withdrawals, distributions, etc.

How to download your transaction history or tax report on the mobile app

1. From your home screen, tap the profile icon in the top right.

2. Scroll down to the Account section and then tap Reports.

3. Tap Custom Reports or Tax Reports, depending on your requirement.

4. To customize your report, fill in the fields, then tap Generate.

How to download your transaction history or tax report via web browser

1. Log in to your Binance.US account. Then, hover over your name in in the top-right corner and click Export Reports from the drop-down menu. Alternatively, click here.

2. If you want a transaction history report, fill in the details and click Generate Report. If you want a tax report, click Download Report under Tax Reports on the right hand side, then fill in the details and click Generate.

  1. What options do I have on a custom report?

    1. You have four different categorize to make your report as broad or narrow to meet your requirements:

      1. Asset

        1. You can select one specific asset or all

      2. Transaction Type

        1. All

        2. Spot Trading

          1. This is also known as Advanced Trading

        3. Buy, Sell & Convert

        4. Deposits & Withdraw

        5. Distributions

          1. This would include Airdrops and Staking rewards

        6. OTC

        7. Pay

        8. Crypto Box

      3. Date Range

        1. Yesterday

        2. Last 7 days

        3. Last 30 days

        4. Last 90 days

        5. Custom Range (within 12 months)

          1. You can select any custom range as long as it is within the time that your account has been active and does not exceed a 12-month period

      4. File Format

        1. CSV

        2. PDF

  2. What is Base and Quote Asset mean?

    1. "Base Asset" means the Asset being traded on the Order Book; the first Asset in the Trading Pair. For example, on the BTC/USD Order Book, BTC is the Base Asset and USD is the Quote Asset.

    2. "Quote Asset" means the Asset in which trading is denominated on the Order Book; the second Asset in the Trading Pair. For example, on the BTC/USD Order Book, BTC is the Base Asset and USD is the Quote Asset.

  3. When I attempt to export my 1099-MISC report, I receive an error stating “No Results Found”

    1. You did not meet the qualifications to be issued a 1099-MISC. If you are a U.S. resident, you will only receive tax documents from Binance.US if you earned $600 or more from staking and referral rewards.

  4. I received a notification from the IRS regarding a 1099-K form. Can you help?

    1. Previously, Binance.US took the position that it was a Third Party Settlement Organization (“TPSO”) under Section 6050W of the Internal Revenue Code and accordingly, filed Forms 1099-K for certain transactions settled on the exchange. After further evaluation and general indications from the IRS on the intended direction for future reporting, Binance.US has decided not to issue Forms 1099-K for customers on the exchange for the tax year 2021 and beyond. BAM Trading Services Inc. (“Binance.US”) does not provide tax advice. We recommend contacting a tax professional for your specific tax situation.

  5. I downloaded a report, and not all of my transactions are listed.

    1. Please ensure that under transaction type, you are selecting All. This will ensure that all transaction types are populated in your report.
