So how does it all work?
Step 1: Download and open the Birdie app
Step 2: Create a 4-digit passcode to ensure your app can only be accessed by yourself
Step 3: Make sure you're on the Visits tab at the bottom of your screen to access your scheduled visits
Please note: If you do not see the Visits tab on your Birdie app, you can start an visit by Clicking the Clients tab at the bottom of the screen and then selecting the Care recipient you're visiting.
Checking into your visit
Step 4: Tap Start report at the bottom of the screen to check information about your Care Recipient
Step 5: Tap Check in to inform your agency that you've arrived at your Care Recipient's home
Ticking off your tasks
Step 6: Click on Tasks and medications and review the activities and medications for your visit
Step 7: Mark tasks as done or not done, record outcomes for medications
Please note: You will only see tasks and medications on the day of the visit and not before.
Adding observations
Step 8: Head to the care log section on the report
Step 9: Click through each section of the Care log to report on how the care recipient is, and share your observations during the visit. You can even attach a photo if needed when adding a note. Once you've filled in all the boxes relevant to your visit, click on Finish Reporting
Finishing your visit
Step 10: When you have finished your notes, click on check out and submit report. A box will appear asking you to confirm that you have finished.
Please note: Once you have completed a visit and checked out you will not be able to check back into the same visit, so make sure you have completed everything before you check out!
You're done! Your agency will now receive a real-time update on the Care recipient's well-being. They will also be informed on the great job that you are doing!
