How to set up a passcode timeout

Having a passcode on the Birdie app adds another layer of security to keep your care recipient and caregiver information safe and secure. The first time caregivers log into the Birdie app they will be asked to create a 4 digit passcode and every time they open the app they will need to re-enter this code.

You can set up your passcode to have a shorter or longer timeout depending on your individual agency needs.

How to set up your agency passcode timeout

  1. Click your name in the right-hand corner of the Agency hub

  2. Select Carer app settings and scroll down to passcode timeout

  3. Choose your new settings

  4. Click Save settings

You can set your agency passcode to timeout anytime from 1 second to 120 seconds, meaning this is will either extend or shorten the length of time when your caregivers have to re-enter their passcode.
