To truly master and get the most out of Birdie, you should enrol in the Birdie Academy. Here you can find and complete the right course suited to your role.

Please note: you only need to complete the courses that are relevant to your role. i.e. if you are not using Birdie's rostering or finance, you do not need to complete the Care Coordinator, Finance and People Management courses.

In this course, you will learn how to create a Care recipient profile, complete the about me page, perform assessments and add care plans. This course also covers our best-in-class medication management, how to view, prioritise and respond to alerts as well as inviting third parties and NOK to the care recipient’s profile.

In this course, you will learn how to onboard your team to Birdie, including creating a Care Professional and office team profile and inviting them to the Agency Hub. This course will also show you how to input availability, sick and holiday leave for your team as well as how to organise them into groups.

In this course, you will learn how to create a care recipient and Care Professional profile in Birdie, how to schedule visits and create the best possible matches in the rota screen. You will also learn about how to apply templates and manage your visits in runs.

In this course, you will learn how to set up funding for your visits, including contract creation, invoice rates, and payers. This course also covers how to reconcile and confirm visits for invoicing and payroll - and, of course, how to set up pay rates for your Care Professionals.

In this course, you will learn how to use Birdie’s app step by step, this includes how to administer medication, complete tasks and how to raise a concern when you need additional support. This training aims to have you feeling confident and supported when delivering care.

In this course, you will learn how to use Birdie and our analytics tool to audit and get the insights you need to scale your business. This course will also show you how to send the rota to Care Recipients and care professionals and how to respond to alerts and actions.

Once you log in, identify the course - or set of courses - that makes the most sense based on your role and day-to-day. Then simply click on the link. You will need to click on and ‘enrol’ in each course you wish to complete.

Clicking each 'enrol' link will add the course to your Birdie Academy dashboard, meaning you can select the courses you need, and return to them whenever you need to.

For example, click on ‘Care Manager course’, which will take you to that specific course. You can then select ‘enrol for free’ at the top left. Once you’ve enrolled, each course will be available under your ‘Student Dashboard’.
