Please note: The following feature is available as part of Birdie’s Core, Advanced, Plus, (Previously known as Care Management & Rostering, Care Management, Rostering & Finance, Premium) Please get in touch if interested in more information on this feature!

Our Groups feature has been created to make travel for your Care Professionals more efficient. On the rota screen in Birdie, you will now be able to choose certain Groups, see two Groups at once, or all Groups on one screen.

How to use this feature

First, you will need to have created your Groups in Birdie. Click the Roster tab on your menu to view the rota screen.

Click on the Group button on the left-hand side. When you click on this toggle you will be able to see the full lists of the Groups you have created.

You can choose Select all, select specific groups from the menu, or view Ungrouped care recipients, as shown below.

This will then filter the Roster screen to show unallocated visits only for the Groups you have selected. Under the Care Professionals' name, you will be able to see what Group(s) they are a part of.

You will automatically view the groups which you are in. If you would like to view all groups automatically then you will need to make sure you are added to all of the groups in your agency.

Whilst you are filtering for a certain Group, the display will show you all of the visits on the Care Professionals' rota for that day, even if the visits are not for the current group. This ensures that there is no risk of double-booking or scheduling overlapping calls for them while you are filtering your view.
