The below outlines how to enable notifications from Birdie on your phone or mobile device - for both Apple and Android.

How to check your notification settings and permissions within the Birdie app

To receive notifications from the Birdie app, you will first need to ensure you have granted the Birdie app permission for this. To quickly check what permissions you have set, you can click on your profile on the top-left of the Birdie app.

You will see a section called 'Permissions.' This will showcase what permission settings you have enabled on your phone for the Birdie app, i.e. the toggle will appear as 'on' if you have enabled notifications - and it will appear as 'off' if you haven't enabled these.

You can then click on this toggle, which will directly take you to the notification settings section of your mobile device. Here, you can review and update your settings as necessary.

How to enable notifications from Birdie using Apple devices

First, go into Settings on your mobile device.

Select Notifications and scroll down to find Birdie.

Tap Birdie and then click the toggle to Allow notifications.

Once you have turned this toggle on, you can select additional settings for birdie notifications - including where the notifications will appear, i.e. ‘Banner, Notifications Centre, Lock.

We recommend selecting all three notification types to ensure you are accessing all relevant and important communications.

How to enable notifications from Birdie using Android devices

Within the settings section of your Android device, scroll down to App Notifications and select Birdie.

Once you have clicked into Birdie you will then turn the toggle next to allow notifications on. Once you have turned this toggle on, you can select additional settings for birdie notifications - including where the notifications will appear, i.e. ‘Lock screen, Badge, and Pop-up.

We recommend selecting all three notification types to ensure you are accessing all relevant and important communications.
