Please pay close attention to the Setup section before moving forward with your account connection.

Setup Meta to Enable Instagram Business Scheduling

To prepare your account connection, ensure these three criteria are met for your Instagram Business and Facebook Page.

How will I know if I am ready to connect my Instagram Business account with Blaze?

You will see both your Facebook page and Instagram avatars when you visit business.facebook.com, when logged into your Facebook profile

Click into Settings in your Facebook business portfolio, then click "Pages" under the Accounts section. Click on your page's name in the menu that appears, then in the main panel, confirm that your name appears under the "People with full control" header.

Next, click "Instagram accounts" under the Accounts section. Click on your Instagram handle in the menu that appears, then in the main panel, confirm that your name appears with "Access to: Insights, Ads, Community activity, Messages and Content".

Connect Instagram Business to Blaze

Navigate to the "Integrations" tab on the Blaze navigation menu.

Click "Connect" on the Instagram Business card.

You will be prompted to enter your Facebook login information or, if you're already signed into Facebook, you can click "Continue".

Next, you will be prompted to connect your Instagram. Remember, your Instagram Business account must be associated with the Facebook profile you are logging in with.

Once logged into Instagram, you'll have the option to grant permissions and select which Instagram accounts you'd like to connect.

  • When granting permission to Blaze, Facebook will then offer an option to "Choose what you allow". Note that you should not change any of the default permissions. If the permissions are edited, Blaze will not be able to work properly with your account.

  • When selecting which Instagram Business accounts you'd like to connect, you can select as many or as few as you like using the check boxes.

When you have completed the Meta modal flow, you will be redirected back to Blaze. Once back at Blaze, wait a few seconds and you will be prompted to confirm which Instagram Business accounts you'd like to connect with Blaze, using checkboxes before submission.

Troubleshoot Your Instagram Connection

If you have difficulty connecting your Instagram page, please ensure:

  • Your Instagram account is a creator or business account.

  • Your Instagram account is connected to a Facebook Page.

  • Your Facebook profile is an Admin for that Facebook Page.

To check your business account, navigate to https://business.facebook.com/settings/ and ensure you see the Facebook business profile you are trying to connect with. If you do not, your account may not be configured as a Business or you may not be an Admin.

To check your if your Instagram account is marked as business from your phone head to your profile in the Instagram app. Next, tap the hamburger menu. This action will reveal a menu where, at the bottom, you'll find various options that indicate your account type:

  • If you have a business account, "Business tools and controls" will be listed.

  • If you hold a creator account, "Creator tools and controls" will appear.

  • For a personal Instagram profile, you'll see "Account type and tools."
