What happens if my employee is temporarily absent from work?

If it’s a short absence, and your employee stays on a monthly payroll, then nothing changes.

If the leave relates to a longer-term absence (such as maternity, paternity, adoption or sick leave), then the salary sacrifice deductions can be suspended for up to 6 months. We’ll extend the hire agreement accordingly and your employee will be able able pick up where they left off. In this scenario, your employee will be required to continue paying monthly insurance and maintenance fee directly to Blike. They will keep their bike and will be free to use it.
