This feature allows you to highlight certain line items in the estimate PDF for client visibility.
It can also be used internally to mark certain line items. For example, if the line item is incomplete, highlight it and return to it later.
To highlight a line item, hover over the line item and click on the box that appears on the left.
After you have checked all the boxes of the line items you want highlighted, choose "Highlight."
A pop-up window will appear allowing you to add highlights to the selected line items. From here you can highlight certain line items, or clear the highlight on line items that have been previously highlighted.
Highlighted line items will appear in the working estimate module and in the printed estimate PDF.
There is also the option to mask or unmask the highlighted line items. Masking allows you to hide the highlighted line items from view, while still keeping a record of them.
You can use this internally as you create bids to send to clients.
For example, highlight certain line items that still need to be completed, but "Mask All" the highlights when sending the estimate to the client, so they receive a clean version.
If you need to go back and reference the highlighted line items later, you can "Unmask All" and the highlighted line items will reappear.
To do this, simply click on another line item box and choose "Highlight". The pop-up will appear with a message telling you how many line items are currently masked. Click "Unmask All" and press "Apply."
