You track your crypto assets with getquin? For your crypto tax return, you connect your exchanges, brokers and wallets directly to Blockpit, because getquin only serves as a portfolio overview. After that, you create the tax report.
Step 1: Sign up and get started
Sign up for free at Blockpit. After that, you land in the dashboard, where you start importing your transactions.
Step 2: Connect your crypto exchanges and brokers to Blockpit again
Since getquin is mainly a portfolio overview, you connect your actual crypto exchanges and brokers to Blockpit so that all transactions are captured completely for tax purposes.
How to proceed
1️⃣ Click + Integration in the Blockpit dashboard.
2️⃣ Choose Exchange.
3️⃣ Search for your exchange (e.g. Binance, Kraken, Bitpanda).
4️⃣ Follow the guide to create an API key.
5️⃣ Paste the API key (and the secret, if required) into Blockpit.
6️⃣ Confirm with Next.
💡 Tip: For many exchanges, you find a step-by-step guide in the exchange integrations Help Center.
If an automatic API integration is not possible, you import transactions via CSV file or Blockpit Excel template instead or add them manually.
Step 3: Integrate crypto wallets and blockchains
Next, connect your wallets (e.g. MetaMask, Ledger, Trust Wallet) or the blockchain address directly.
How it works
1️⃣ Click + Integration again.
2️⃣ Choose Blockchain or Wallet.
3️⃣ Search for the blockchain you use (e.g. Ethereum, Bitcoin, Solana).
4️⃣ Enter your public wallet address (public key).
5️⃣ Give the integration a fitting name and confirm.
⚠️ Caution: Never enter your private key. Blockpit only needs the public key.
Blockpit reads all transactions of this address automatically and updates them regularly.
Step 4: Review and complete your transactions
1️⃣ Synchronize your integrations in the Integrations tab with Sync All.
2️⃣ Start the Calculation in the sidebar.
3️⃣ Blockpit automatically detects buys and sells, deposits and withdrawals, transfers between your own wallets (merged automatically) and income from staking, lending and airdrops.
ℹ️ Good to know: Unclear transactions get a tip, e.g. Unlabeled (In/Out). You can label them manually or check whether an integration is missing.
Step 5: Create and export your tax report
Once your portfolio and transactions are imported completely and correctly, you create the tax report:
1️⃣ Open Tax Reports and select the tax year you want.
2️⃣ Create the report with Generate Report.
3️⃣ Download the report as a PDF, ideal for your tax return or your tax advisor.
ℹ️ Good to know: The report contains all transactions, realized gains and losses and tax-relevant income, according to the tax rules in force in your country.
What to watch out for
Typical mistakes
✗ Incomplete transaction history per exchange/wallet → tips and wrong gains, check for completeness
✗ Ignored tips → gaps stay undiscovered, use the Hint filter in the transactions
✗ Wallet used on several chains, only one address captured → capture each relevant address separately
After the import, check that all values look correct.
