Rebalancing the portfolio

The value of invested assets can change due to market movement, deposits of additional donated assets, or withdrawals from the account to make a charitable donation or pay appliable fees. As a result, the percentage of the account assets allocated to a certain investment portfolio could deviate from the allocation you had previously selected. You can rebalance the account in order to re-align the allocation of account assets to the investment portfolios you selected.

In the example below, you'll notice that the current portfolio allocations do not match the target portfolio. Thus, a rebalance is needed:

  1. Click the Invest tab > click Reallocate Investments

  2. If you're not making any changes and simply want to rebalance to your previous investment allocations--> click Save Changes at the bottom

  3. If you want to adjust the investment allocations--> make the adjustments--> click Save Changes
