Setting Up Miscellaneous Charges

How to add a credit card fee, shop supplies or other standard charges to your invoices.

Updated over 10 months ago

Boatyard allows you to add standard fees to all your customer estimates and invoices. This is useful for adding a credit card fee, shop supplies, an environmental fee, or other charges to every order.

Please Note: This feature is not available to providers that have IDS, Lightspeed or DockMaster work order imports.

If you utilize one of our DMS import tools, you should set the miscellaneous charges in your DMS and those will be imported into Boatyard.

Setting Up Miscellaneous Charges in Boatyard

  • Repeat the process for a second charge if needed.

Adjusting Fees on an Order

There might be times when you don't want to charge the customer an additional fee. You can easily adjust the charges in the order.

Simply, click on the percentage in the price summary section and change it to 0% to remove the fee from that order.
