Adjusting Media Upload Size

Instructions on how to adjust the size of video and image files on your phone for faster image uploads in the Pro App.

Updated over a year ago

We love new features on our cellphones as much as the next person. However, as cellphone cameras' get more advanced, the size of the image and video files also gets larger. This can cause problems when trying to upload videos or multiple images to a job in our Pro App, especially if you are using mobile data, instead of Wi-Fi (we also don't want you burning through your monthly mobile data allowance!).

Below you will find instructions on how to reduce the size of the image files that your cellphone takes. These images are still high quality and crystal clear, but they will just upload much faster - saving you precious time!

iPhones

First, go to SETTINGS on your phone and scroll down and tap on CAMERA.

On the next screen, tap on FORMATS.

And finally, select HIGH EFFICIENCY. This will reduce the file size of photos and videos captured on your iPhone.

Android Devices

Please note: Android devices can vary depending on the manufacturer. If the steps below are not useful, you can search your phone's settings menu for "Efficiently" or "Efficiency" and that should help you find the setting.

First, in your camera app, tap on the setting icon.

Next, select the MORE SETTINGS option.

Then, you'll want to scroll down and tap on the ADVANCED option.

Finally, scroll down to the STORE VIDEOS EFFICIENTLY option and make sure that is toggled on.
