4/23/25 - Boatyard Update

NEW + IMPROVED

  • Labor Types - You can now set up multiple default labor rates directly in your settings. Simply create a new labor type, give it a name, and enter a default rate. When adding labor to a line item, just select the desired labor type — the description and rate will automatically pre-fill, making your workflow faster and more consistent.

  • Pro App - Scheduled jobs now display the scheduled time right in the job summary on the Boatyard Pro app. This makes it easier for technicians to stay on track and manage their day more efficiently.

  • PartsFinder (Beta) - We’re excited to begin beta testing our new PartsFinder feature! PartsFinder helps you locate the most up-to-date pricing for parts across more than 190 vendors and add it to your work order with just one click. If you’d like to participate in the beta, please reach out to Sasha at sasha@boatyard.com.

FIXES

  • Invoice - The "Paid" stamp on invoices was previously showing an incorrect timestamp. It now correctly displays the exact time the invoice was paid.

  • Parts Timeline - We fixed an issue where editing the storage location of a part incorrectly triggered a timeline entry showing a change in quantity. The timeline will now accurately reflect only the changes that were actually made.

4/1/25 - Boatyard Update

NEW + IMPROVED

  • Boat Notes- We've made it easier for you to manage boat-specific information with new note fields. This improvement ensures that important details like key codes and warranty information are clearly associated with the correct boat, enhancing clarity and accessibility for both you and your team.

    • The Boat notes field allows you to store up to 500 characters of additional information. Notes can be added when editing the boat on the Customer Profile page. This information is now visible on the order, and jobs pages, as well as the Pro app.

  • Min & Max Parts Inventory - You can now set minimum and maximum inventory levels for each part, helping them maintain optimal stock levels.

    • The Minimum and Maximum inventory levels can be set when editing the part on the Parts Inventory page. Any changes to these fields are recorded in the part timeline. The default value for these fields is 0.

  • Parts List Filtering - Navigating through extensive parts inventories is now more efficient with the addition of new filters. You can quickly find the parts you need by filtering based on availability and vendor.
