Boddle requires WebGL2 to access the student game platform.

To find out if WebGL2 is enabled on your browser, visit this testing site. If you see a spinning box, you should be good to go!

If you don't see this box, or you continue to see errors in the game, try the following steps:

Enable WebGL in your browser

  1. Go to chrome://settings in your address bar, or click the three dots in the upper-right corner of the browser window and select Settings.

  2. In the System section, toggle Use hardware acceleration when available to the ON position (the button should be blue).

  3. Click the Relaunch button to restart Chrome and apply your new settings.

Override software rendering and enable draft extensions

  1. Enter chrome://flags in the address bar.

  2. Locate the Override software rendering list setting and switch it to Enabled.

  3. Locate the WebGL Draft Extensions setting and switch it to Enabled.

  4. Click the Relaunch Now button to restart your browser.

Ensure Compatibility Mode is Disabled

Browsers may sometimes run in compatibility mode, which can disable advanced WebGL features:

  1. On Windows, right-click the browser icon and select Properties.

  2. Under the Compatibility tab, ensure no compatibility settings are enabled for older versions of Windows.

Clear Browser Cache and Disable Unnecessary Extensions

  1. Clear cache: Browsers may store old WebGL versions or data. Clearing your browser's cache might resolve the issue.

    • In Chrome/Edge: Go to Settings > Privacy and security > Clear browsing data > Select Cached images and files.

    • In Firefox: Go to Settings > Privacy & Security > Cookies and Site Data > Click Clear Data.

  2. Disable extensions: Some browser extensions may interfere with WebGL. Try disabling all extensions, then enabling them one by one to identify the conflicting extension.

Update Your Graphics Drivers

Outdated or corrupted graphics drivers may cause WebGL errors.

  1. Update your graphics card drivers via your system's device manager or visit the manufacturer's website (NVIDIA, AMD, Intel) for the latest drivers.

  2. Restart your system after the driver update to ensure changes take effect.
