How do I complete my ie Giving Hub profile?

Below are the steps to customizing your ie Giving Hub profile!

Step 1: Navigate to Your ie Giving Hub Profile

From the home page of your Admin Dashboard, click on the "ie Giving Hub" tab on the left-hand menu to access your ie Giving Hub dashboard and edit your profile.

Step 2: Complete Profile Setup Tab

Add Your Organization's Information

Under the "Profile Setup" tab, click on "Add your Organization's Info" to add your organization's logo, website URL, and up to three causes that best represent your organization.

As one of the first things a donor sees on your profile, your logo should be current and represent your brand. Remember that logos cannot be over 5MB and must be a JPG, JPEG, or PNG file type.

The causes will be one way a potential donor can search for your organization so make sure the causes you select best represent your organization.

Once you've completed this information, click "Save".

Add Your Story

Next, click on the tab "Add your Story". Here, you can add a cover photo, tell your organization's story, and add a video link. This is the first page that someone will see when visiting your profile so make sure to put your best foot forward when setting up your Story!

  1. Your profile has been pre-populated with a default cover photo. We suggest that you change this cover photo to one of your organization's favorite photos! To do this, click the Select Image button and upload a photo!

  2. You have the option to Display a Goal on your ie Giving Hub profile. This is a monetary goal that donors will see when viewing your page and progress towards this goal will be shown in real time! We find that organizations with a goal tend to raise 14% more than organizations that opt to hide the goal. To display a goal, tick the box beside that option and add in the dollar amount you're hoping to reach on your page.

  3. Tell Your Story by filling in the text box with pertinent information about your organization. Tell your donors all about your organization, what you do, how you do it, and what you need to do it. Feel free to include as many details as you would like, including what you intend to do with the funds raised. You can also add pictures to your story—the more pictures, the better!

  4. You can also add a video to your page. Just copy the link into the Video URL field. Please only enter the video link (URL) and not the embedded code.

  5. Once you've completed this information, click "Save"!

Get Verified to Collect Donations

Next, click on the tab "Get Verified to Collect Donations" to check off if you are state compliant, and to add your organization's general information, organization representative, and bank account information.

This is necessary to become verified to accept donations on the ie Giving Hub platform and to receive your donations through ACH direct deposit transfer. Once this information is complete click "Save" under each section. Your organization should be verified to accept donations within 2-3 business days.

Add Donation Levels

Add suggested donation amounts for donors by clicking on the "Add Donation Levels" tab of your ie Giving Hub profile. Then click on the "Add Donation Level" button:

Once a new level is created, customize your donation level by adding:

  1. Dollar Amount: This can be any figure. If your organization provides a service for $32.18, then feel free to add that number as a donation level with the corresponding description of the services it provides.

  2. Description: If you can be specific with what this dollar amount can cover at your organization, that will make the donor's gift that much more tangible to them as they'll be able to understand what their gift is going towards.

  3. Image: This should be on brand with your organization and what it does. Special points for adding an image that ties beautifully with the description of this specific donation level! 🌟

When you've finished customizing that level, please be sure to click "Save".

We recommend creating 3 or 4 donation levels for your profile. To add more levels, just click on "Add Donation Level" again to customize your new donation level.

Add a 'Thank You' Message

Click on the tab "Add a Thank You Message" on your Dashboard to add a custom thank you message your donors will receive immediately after making their contribution to your organization.

Here you can add an image or video (adding a video will replace any image you add). If you add a video, please enter the video URL and not embedded code. To add an image, click the Select Image button.

Once you've completed your thank you message, click "Save".

Step 3: Update Organization Information in Tabs

Information about your organization should be entered under each of the following tabs: Overview, Organization, Programs, Financials, Legal, and Volunteer. You are able to see what fields need updates as the text will be highlighted in red, and required fields will have an asterisk (*) next to them.

Overview

In the Overview tab, you'll be able to add your Mission Statement, Organizational Overview, and Statement of Need.

To edit the information in this section, select "Edit". Once you are done editing, be sure to select "Save" to save your work.

Organization

In the Organization tab, you are able to add information including Leadership, Affiliations & Memberships, Formal Collaborations, Accreditations, and Awards & Recognitions.

To edit the information in any of these sections, select "Edit" next to the specific section you wish to change. Then, select "Add Row" to create a new entry in each category. Each section will have its own required fields, so pay close attention to what is required in each section.

Click "Save" when you finish editing each section.

Note: Need to delete an entry? Use the red "Delete" button beside the entry you wish to remove. Be sure to save.

Programs

Under the Programs tab, you will be able to add Main Programs that your organization offers, the details of each program, and its geographic area served.

To add a new Program, click "Edit" and then click "Add Program". This will add another blank field for you to enter other Program information. All fields need to be filled out in order to click "Save".

You can also delete a program by clicking "Edit" and then "Delete" in the Program you're looking to remove.

Financials

In the Financials tab, you will need to add information about your Financials (Current), Prior Three Years Revenue and Expense Totals, Revenue Sources, Expense Allocations by Type, Assets and Liabilities, your 990 Tax Forms or E-Postcard, and your Endowment/Capital Campaigns.

Click "Edit" on each section and "Add Row" where necessary. Click "Save" once you're done editing each section.

To upload the required 990 Tax Forms or E-Postcard, click "Edit" and then "Choose File" beside which 990 or E-Postcard you would like to upload. Once you finish, be sure to click "Save".

Legal

The Legal tab includes information about your status with the IRS, Board Chair, Board of Directors, their demographics, and Governance Practices.

Click "Edit" on each section and "Add Row" where necessary. Click "Save" once you're done editing each section.

Volunteer

Your Volunteer tab provides the opportunity to highlight any Volunteer Opportunities Available at your organization.

To add a volunteer opportunity, click "Edit" and then "Add Row". Fill in the details of your opportunity and click "Save" when finished.
